a fine voyage indeed
40 miles at 14.8 mph , call me Mr Ronseal
no Barnabas or cut throat jake .........light weights
the sun shone even up Wimpole hill
good ride
see you next week
CP
bright,cold and slight north westerly
so head out east, back via abbotsley so wind behind
flat that way
barnabas and cut throat jake ?
the salt will put a tear in my eye
CP
going out for some grog
...…the pig set sail in majestic splendour
40 miles at 15.5mph
felt a bit faster than that , but preston , st pauls warden and hexton all in the mix
plenty of sunshine and hedgerows so enjoyable ride
no pirate rhyme…Ahoy
supposed to be dry with a westerly
we will head into the wind and see how we go
was going to do a 2 bridges variant , but closed the bridge
so out via baldock, preston , loop back through letchworth gate ... maybe…so off they set,one leg,one cheek and one returned
the black pig remnants who have lately been burned
they discussed the merits of strictly and whats been said
so more more fun than lying in bed
after an hour th…cut throat jake is tucked up in bed
sounds a great place it has to be said
said something about the wind and falls
apparently he does not have the courage
I then remarked "of course you are right "
this ga…leg getting better, wind worse, pardon
either heavy rain or bright sun tomorrow according to deep thought
money well spent
getting withdrawls for the high seas
So turbo or turn up that is the question
only tomorrow will…have you recovered Joop ?
mine is an annoying short term thing
should be gone soon and back to normal
pain going away with a bit of ice
hoping for reasonable weather and a decent ride next week
CPPirates do not like being under water
as a cabin boy would enjoy climbing the crows nest
now not good for the arthritis
Joop to lead the way into the eye of the storm
CPAhoy me maties
looks like the pig is cursed
I have done my leg ( yes pulled it )
and weather is at best awful
So once again time to bail out
sorry pirates
feel free to still ride if you are u…mud guards optional
you of course get more abuse without one
I currently have the bidet effect
must get one as well
CPgood to hear from you - Chapeau !
sounds like the trip was fun
see if we can spot some for you :-)
good to hear a few stories
maybe a bit damp on Sunday, but go unless really bad
CPtime for bedrules are not for pirates, it must be said
if its that you want, then stay in your bed
The pig is free to fly where ever it feels
it is not constrained by fatuous deals
So for all those redcoats with righteous i…PS winter bikes and speeds apply
my normal winter bike in dry dock - summer bike in storage
hence old Scott to surface !
15 - 16 mph and very slow up any inclines
so a flat route will do nicely
CPsorry to hear the redcoats got you
we will reserve your place on the port side
will get a fat bloke on the starboard to balance you off !
enjoy the grog, may as well
speaking of which time for another
CPahoy Barnabas
a hook is good for picking the nose in traffic and hill climbs beside a mountain goat
looks like the crew is breaking out the rum already in my absence
skulduggery reigns
CPgood ride and great conditions
ended up doing a bit more
50 miles at 17mph
get it in while we can
CPI have the secret potion of Astrix mixed with the exotic magic of the Incas
will mix some magic for all comers to try soon
keep you posted
will make the sprints interesting !
CP38 miles at 16.3mph
Jane took the glory , passing 3 lined across the road with a massive burst of speed
( next time Barnabas )
Good fun
CPa curse to Davy Jones
he will not have his way
prime the canons, host the JR, set sail into the unknown
lick the the salt on your lips me hearties
its good to be a live
CPsounds like junior Barnabas is coming on well
stolen treasure is the best !
CPaccording to the crew we did the same route as the Sat lot
Buntingford , Westmill , Walkern
36 miles , about 17 mph rollling hills
lovely in the sun
last few weeks before winter bikes and speeds
see you next wee…break out the rum and sing a sea shanty
sounds like a new dock is needed
CPpull on them oars swabs !
Captain wants some more booty
a extra ration of rum if you work hard enough
CPHope your leaks below the water line repair soon !
Birthday boy in dry dock, but still got a pirates sea chanty
Barley, Barkway, Buntingford
40 miles rolling hills , back for 12
good sunny ride
had …a fine crew set sail
fair maiden on board gave a relaxed journey
Nick was holed below the water line with 4 miles to go
other than that sun shone and good route
40miles at about 16 - 17 mph
CPIntend to do the route planned for Sunday
Barkway , Chrishall , fowlmere
good route down the lanes
40mph at 17 mph, back for 12
CPonly a dinghy required
crew of two set sail, one on winter bike the other on a mountain bike
40 miles at 18 mph with 290 m climbs ( good result on a mountain bike )
bassingbourne , wimpole hill , croydon hill, hinxworth
condi…yes still going
but only for a shortish run
stay local and come back before get soaked
see you at 09.30 !
